Former Congress President and current MP Rahul Gandhi spoke on the issue of Chinese aggression. In the video posted on his Twitter, he talked about how the Chinese have taken over India's land on the aftermath on Galwan Valley encounter.
"As an Indian, my number 1 priority is nation and its people. Now it is pretty clear that the Chinese have entered Indian territory. This makes my blood boil. How can we as a nation allow others to enter the country? If you as a politician want me to keep quiet and lie to my people when I am convinced as I have seen the map and spoke to ex-army. I can't lie even if my political career goes to hell. People who are lying are not nationalistic and they are people who are not patriotic. I am going to say the truth as far as Indian territory is concerned", said Rahul Gandhi.

The 2020 China–India skirmishes are part of an ongoing military standoff between China and India. Since 5 May 2020, Chinese and Indian troops have reportedly engaged in aggressive melee, face-offs and skirmishes at locations along the Sino-Indian border, including near the disputed Pangong Lake in Ladakh and the Tibet Autonomous Region, and near the border between Sikkim and the Tibet Autonomous Region. Additional clashes also took place at locations in eastern Ladakh along the Line of Actual Control (LAC).
In late May, Chinese forces objected to Indian road construction in the Galwan River valley. According to Indian sources, melee fighting on 15/16 June 2020 resulted in the deaths of 20 Indian soldiers (including an officer) and casualties of 43 Chinese soldiers (including death of an officer). Several news outlets stated that 10 Indian soldiers, including 4 officers, were taken captive and then released by the Chinese on 18 June.[11] An unconfirmed number of Chinese soldiers were also captured and later released by India. It was only on 25 July that reports of complete disengagement at Galwan, Hot Springs and Gogra emerged.
