Rahul Gandhi mocks PM Modi by wishing him ‘happy World Theatre Day’

The theatrics in the lead up to the Lok Sabha elections have continued as Congress President Rahul Gandhi on Wednesday has mocked India's Prime Minister Narendra Modi by wishing him a "happy World Theatre" day on Twitter.

Rahul's taunt came after Modi's live video telecast in which the PM announced the successful testing of the Anti Satellite (ASAT) Missile.

"India has successfully tested the Anti-Satellite (ASAT) Missile. Congratulations to everyone on the success of Mission Shakti", the PM had said.

Lauding the DRDO, Rahul wished the PM "a very happy Theatre Day" alluding to the PM's dramatic address to the nation.

Meanwhile, Modi's announcement has been panned by the opposition as a publicity stunt.
