Guwahati, October 9, 2018:

Congress president Rahul Gandhi and BJP chief Amit Shah hit campaign trails in Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh on Tuesday. Madhya Pradesh will go to polls on November 28 and Rajasthan on December 7.

Addressing a rally at Dholpur in Rajasthan, Gandhi pilloried Prime Minister Narendra Modi asking as to why the PM could not waive farm loans when he could waive loans worth Rs.3 lakh crore of 15-20 industrialists.

“The farmers are demanding facilities from banks but they’re denied because of debt. Why can’t Narendra Modi waive farm loans when he can waive loans worth Rs.3 lakh crore of 15-20 corporates?” Gandhi asked addressing a rally at Vasundhara Raje’s constituency Dholpur.

Later, he held a road show from Dholpur to Dausa covering Dholpur, Bharatpur and Dausa districts, travelling over 250 km. On Wednesday, he will participate in his ‘Sankalp Rally’ in Bikaner.

Shah, on the other hand, held a road show in Gwalior. He urged people there to vote for the BJP in the ensuing elections.

“Ayushmaan Bharat is the biggest scheme which will provide a benefit of Rs.5 lakh each to 50 crore poor people and ten crore families,” Shah said. He was scheduled to address a rally in Chambal district on Tuesday.
