The Supreme Court on Friday directed the Central Vigilance Commission (CVC) to complete its enquiry into the allegations on CBI director Alok Verma within two weeks.
The enquiry by the CVC against Verma would be looked after by former SC judge AK Patnaik.
Meanwhile, interim CBI director M Nageswara Rao has been asked not to take any policy decisions.
A three-judge bench, headed by Chief Justice Ranjan Gogoi, also issued a notice asking the interim CBI chief, the government and the CVC to submit all decisions taken to the apex court on November 12 in a sealed envelop.
