The leaders of the Congress and the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) indicated that it will be forming a stable government in Maharashtra in the coming days, with Shiv Sena.
The statement came after a crucial meeting held between the NCP and Congress party at NCP chief Sharad Pawar’s residence in New Delhi. Congress leader Prithviraj Chavan said that the alliance is hopeful of ending the political uncertainty in Maharashtra and provide a stable government.
NCP Spokesperson Nawab Malik indicated that the two parties will join hands with the Shiv Sena, saying it is clear that the three parties will have to come together.
However, Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Raut said that people of Maharashtra want a Chief Minister from the Shiv Sena.
Adding that the process of the alliance of three parties to form the government takes time, Raut added that in the coming two-to-five days, when the process is complete, a new government will be formed in Maharashtra.
