Assam’s junior shooter Hridoy Hazarika clinched gold at the International Shooting Sport Federation (ISSF) World Shooting Championship in the junior men’s 10m air riffle event at Changwon in Korea on Friday.
Hridoy was the lone Indian to qualify for the men’s final with a score of 627.3.
Tied with Iran’s Mohammed Amir Nekounam on 250.1, the 17-year-old Indian prevailed over in a shoot-off at the gala event.
