Guwahai, July 2, 2019:

A SpiceJet passenger place from Jaipur overshot the runway while landing at Mumbai airport in the midst of heavy rain, late at night on Monday.

All the passengers in the SpiceJet plane are safe, said an official at Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport.

As per reports, few passengers suffered minor injuries in the incident.

The incident occurred just before midnight as flight, SG 6237, landed in the city. The main runway of the airport was shut for operations.

However, no official statement has been issued by the airlines on the incident.

One of the passengers on board tweeted, “Jaipur to Mumbai spice jet flight SG6237 slips on the runway while lending. All passengers Safe..mild injuries to 3-4 passengers..rest okk.”

Following this incident, air traffic increased over the city airport. While Air India’s AI 868 flight was aborted from landing. Air France flight AF 218 from Paris to Mumbai had to be diverted.
