Former External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj was cremated at the Lodhi crematorium in New Delhi on Wednesday with full state honours.
Sushma Swaraj passed away on Tuesday night at AIIMS after suffering a heart attack. She was 67.
A large number of the political leaders paid tribute to the powerful orator. Swaraj was considered to be the most accessible external affairs minister that changed the face of the ministry during her tenure.
There is no doubt the Swaraj exemplified the values of courage, empathy, and leadership. The leader breathed her last a few hours after she had conveyed her happiness at the abrogation of Article 370 in Kashmir.
Sushma Swaraj completed her graduation from Sanatan Dharma College of Ambala Cantonment and got her bachelor’s degree with honours in Political Science and Sanskrit, and it is said that she had great love for the ancient Indian language.
