The famous monument and symbol of love in India the Taj Mahal has reopened on Monday amidst the record raise of new coronavirus cases in the country during the last few days.

Though there is high tension along the Indo China Border, a Chinese National was among the first visitor to step into the monument today. Number of visitors have been capped at 5000, while there were more than 20000 visitors on a day before pandemic hit the country. Tickets are sold online only and around 300 tickets have been sold on the first day of opening after six months of its closure. All visitors are advised to follow the pronounced SOP and will have their temperatures taken before allowing to enter the premises.

Visitors will have their temperatures taken and must adhere to advice to keep a safe distance from each other. Facing deepest economic contraction in the history, the union government lead by PM Narendra Modi is pushing to unlock the virus curbs so that business can return to its normalcy.
Tourism contributed about $240 billion, or 9.2% of India's gross domestic product in 2018, employing more than 42 million people, World Travel and Tourism Council data show.

Though foreign tourists were unlikely to return until this pandemic subside. And random announcement of regional lockdowns and quarantine rules lead to deterring local tourist.
