In a startling and somewhat comic development, Prime Minister Narendra Modi's 'bindis' are going viral before the Lok Sabha elections. After being put on holi packets, t-shirts, and air tickets, it is the turn of bindis to bear the visage of the Prime Minister.
A company, 'Paris Fancy Bindi', has launched a line of 'bindis' which come in packets carrying the smiling face of the Prime Minister. The packets also contain the BJP logo along with the slogan 'Fir se Modi Sarkar' (once again, Modi's Government).
Photos of the bindi packets have since gone viral on microblogging site Twitter. Although shocking, this is not the first instance of Modi's picture on unusual things. Modi supporters have even taken to printing wedding cards with his picture and urged people to vote for him.
Moreover, Modi's photos have also been plastered on airway and railway tickets but were removed after complaints were filed.
These incidents lead one to wonder: is the Election Commission taking notice?
