Union Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad said that India had a ‘sound economy’ and that the National Sample Survey Office (NSSO) report on the high unemployment rate was wrong.
While speaking at a press meet in Mumbai, Ravi Shankar Prasad said that the 120-crore collection suggested that everything was going well with the Indian economy. He questioned that if the economy was not sound in the country, these movies would not collect ‘so much business’ in a single day.

NSSO, recently, had reported that the country’s unemployment rate was at 45-year-high. Prasad has called it a wrong report. According to the minister, the NSSO report did not reflect the parameters where the economy was doing well.
Prasad was speaking at a press meet ahead of the Assembly Polls when he expressed his thoughts on the current state of the Indian economy.

He also alleged that a wrong message was sent out by some people were trying to mislead people on the country’s unemployment scene.
