Union Minister General (retd) VK Singh on Sunday took a jibe at Pakistan over its repeated ceasefire violations in Jammu & Kashmir.
Reportedly, VK Singh commented, “Kayi baar, poonch seedhi karne mein samay lagta hai (Sometimes, it takes time to straighten out the tail)."
The comment came after two more soldiers were martyred and a civilian was killed as Pakistani troops violated the ceasefire along the LoC in Kupwara district of Jammu and Kashmir.
As many as eight people including three army personnel were injured, police informed.
It may be mentioned that two Gorkha jawans were martyred during the Pakistan army’s ceasefire violation in the Tanghar sector of Jammu & Kashmir’s Kupwara district.
General Bipin Rawat said, “6-10 Pakistani soldiers have been killed, 3 camps have been destroyed.”
Rawat also confirmed that the Indian Army had used artillery guns to target terrorist camps in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir. General Bipin Rawat said that the Army had confirmed information that terrorists are coming closer to the forward areas especially the Keran, Tangdhar and the Naugaon sector in Kashmir.
He said, “Ever since Article 370 was abrogated from J&K, we have been getting repeated inputs of infiltration by terrorists from across the border to disturb peace and harmony in the state.”
