The Uttar Pradesh Police department has suspended a Sub Inspector (SI) following objectionable posts on social media against Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS).
According to reports, SI Anand Gautam, who was posted at the Kadipur police station in Uttar Pradesh, had posted objectionable comments on his social media handles. The comments against the PM and RSS were posted between 2016 and 2018, according to reports.

Authorities said that although he was issued with warnings earlier, but the SI had not deleted the posts.
Superintendent of Police (SP), Sultanpur, Himanshu Kumar has suspended the Sub Inspector with immediate effect. He has also ordered an inquiry into the matter. He informed that SI Gautam has been asked to explain his conduct. The department has issued a warning to be cautious and refrain from posting objectionable posts.
