In a spine-chilling incident on Saturday afternoon, a Volkswagen Polo vehicle skidded off from the newly-inaugurated Biodiversity flyover and landed on the street below. Reportedly, one person was killed in the incident, while 3 others were injured.

A 56-year-old housewife, Satyaveni, was reportedly killed during the incident. The car flew into the air and landed more than 20 meters below, on the ground. The woman who was killed was reportedly waiting for an auto-rickshaw.

CTV footage of the incident reveals that life was going on in the area as usual, but the pedestrians were caught unawares by the vehicle skidding off from the highway and falling on the pavement.
Hyderabad Police has informed that the vehicle was cruising at around 104 kmph due to which it skipped off the flyover and fell on the unsuspecting pedestrians below. Police suspect that the driver was unable to negotiate a curve. It may be mentioned here that this is the second major accident on the new flyover since it was opened to the public on November 4. In the previous accident, two young people had died.
The driver of the vehicle, a man called Milan, survived the incident, although he suffered a serious head injury.
It may be mentioned here that the CCTV footage of the incident, which was uploaded on social media, has gone viral.
