Uttar Pradesh's Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, in a series of tweets, has once again attacked the protesters of the controversial Citizenship Amendment Act, 2019.
The tweets, sent out from the official Twitter handle of Yogi Adityanath, CM Adityanath has justified the police crackdown against the protesters. "Every rioter is shocked. Every demonstrator is stunned. Everyone has been silenced after seeing Yogi Adityanath government's strict actions. Do whatever now, compensation will be taken from anyone who damages public property. Every violent protester will cry now because there is a Yogi government in Uttar Pradesh", a tweet read.
Another tweet sent out from Yogi's twitter handle read, "Every rioter is thinking they made a big mistake by challenging Yogi ji's government after seeing strict actions taken by it against rioters".

Both tweets, which were sent out on Friday, had the bizarre hashtag, 'TheGreat_CMYogi'.
Meanwhile, the Uttar Pradesh Government has come under the scanner for its pushback against the protesters; and as many as two protesters have been arrested by the authorities. Meanwhile, many minors have also come out alleging 'torture' by the UP police.
In Muzaffarnagar, a 16-year-old boy claimed to have been “shot by a policeman” just above his knee; two others – a 12-year-old and a 14-year-old studying in a madrasa – claim they were beaten up by the police despite having nothing to do with the protests.
Media reports claim that no less than 20 people lost their lives in police firing, and hundreds, if not thousands, were reportedly beaten up and shot at by the Uttar Pradesh police.
