'Ziddi' Bollywood star Sunny Deol and celebrity hairstylist Jawed Habib join BJP mid-election

Guwahati, April 23, 2019:

The 'dhaai kilo ka haath' (two-and-half-kilo arms) of actor Sunny Deol has joined up with the pachpan inch ka chest (55'' chest) of Prime Minister Narendra Modi to form an apparently superheroic combo.

In a boost to the saffron party ahead of the elections, the Dharmendra-son joined the BJP amid the ongoing high-voltage elections in the country merely days after meeting party President Amit Shah. He is likely to be the BJP candidate from Gurdaspur in Punjab.

"Like my father joined Atal Bihari Vajpayee, I have decided to go with Prime Minister Narendra Modi. I want PM Modi for the next five years," said the actor while joining.

He is the third Deol to join politics - and the BJP - after Dharmendra and his wife Hema Malini, also veteran actors.

Meanwhile, celebrity hairstylist Jawed Habib also joined the BJP in New Delhi on Monday. "Till today I was just chowkidar for hair, now I have become the chowkidar of the nation", he declared.
