Five individuals, including four students from Delhi University, sustained injuries and were rushed to a hospital following a car accident in Delhi's Shantivan area on September 18. The group was returning from Gurugram after celebrating the birthday of one of the injured when the mishap occurred.
Preliminary investigations by the Delhi Police have revealed that the driver lost control of the vehicle while attempting to change a song on his mobile phone. This momentary distraction led to the car veering off course and colliding with the roadside railings, resulting in significant damage to the vehicle.
The injured victims were immediately transported to a nearby hospital for medical treatment. Authorities have initiated legal proceedings in connection with the incident, emphasizing the dangers of distracted driving. Further investigations are underway to gather more details surrounding the circumstances of the crash.
