Assam CM reacts to Kharge's comment on PM: He is being made to say these things

Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma has reacted to the comments made by Congress national president Mallikarjun Kharge on Prime Minister Narendra Modi while referring to his father.

Speaking to ANI in Jaipur, Sarma said that Mallikarjun Kharge is a 'rubber stamp', and that he is being made to say such things.

"In politics, it is wrong to make reference to a late father or mother. I have seen the tendency of Congress to bring up PM Narendra Modi's father and mother. There might have been a discussion on the internal table of the Gandhi family or Congress. Earlier, Mallikarjun Kharge was not like this. He is a rubber stamp. He is being made to say such things, and who makes him say that, we know that," said Sarma.

Kharge courted controversy when he referred to PM Modi's father during a speech while targeting him. Kharge took a dig at PM Modi and Telangana chief minister K Chandrashekar Rao by saying that both are “liars”. He said the Prime Minister is a liar and “his baap (referring to KCR) sitting here (in Telangana)” is also a liar and does not have the money to fulfil the promises he makes.
