Delhi: 3 injured in clashes between student groups at JNU

At least three students suffered injuries as clashes erupted between two opposing groups on the premises of Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) in Delhi. The altercation occurred during a general body meeting held at the School of Language in the late hours on February 29, spilling into the early hours of March 1.

Reports indicate that the confrontation escalated, with both factions resorting to wielding sticks against each other throughout the night. A video capturing the chaotic scene circulated, depicting students engaged in physical altercations.

In the aftermath, accusations flew from both sides, with Left-wing students alleging that the ABVP student wing instigated the disturbance during the assembly. Conversely, the ABVP labeled the incident as a "Naxal attack" targeted at the campus.

Despite the intensity of the clash, the Delhi Police disclosed that they had not received any formal complaints regarding the matter from either faction involved.
