Tech billionaire Elon Musk posted an AI-generated video on July 22 featuring several global leaders, including Prime Minister Narendra Modi, dressed in futuristic attire. The video, shared on Musk's social media platform X, showcased a virtual fashion show with prominent figures such as US Vice President Kamala Harris, President Joe Biden, and former Presidents Donald Trump and Barack Obama.
Musk, the CEO of X, SpaceX, and Tesla, introduced the video with the caption, "It's time for an AI fashion show." The video featured PM Modi walking the runway with swag, wearing chic sunglasses, white shoes, and a vibrant patchwork ensemble. Other notable appearances included Russian President Vladimir Putin in a Louis Vuitton suit and President Biden in a wheelchair. Musk himself appeared as a superhero in a futuristic Tesla and X outfit, while North Korean leader Kim Jong Un donned a sweatshirt and a striking gold necklace.
The AI fashion show also included former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau in a dress, and Apple CEO Tim Cook with an iPad. Chinese President Xi Jinping was shown carrying a purse, and former President Obama was depicted in various outfits, including gladiator-inspired and basketball ensembles.
In addition to the video, Musk engaged in a conversation on X with Indian-origin entrepreneur Vinod Khosla, a prominent donor to the Democratic Party. Following President Biden's announcement that he would not seek reelection in the upcoming November election, Khosla called for an "open convention" to select a more moderate Democratic candidate. Khosla suggested Governors Gretchen Whitmer and Josh Shapiro as potential candidates.
Musk responded to Khosla's tweet, expressing support for a Trump/Vance ticket. Khosla then criticized Trump, citing his lack of values and harmful policies, particularly regarding climate change. Khosla emphasized the need for a president with integrity and values, stating that Trump's personal behavior and policies were unacceptable.
