People Democratic Party (PDP) chief Mehbooba Mufti today led a protest against Iserael's aggression on Gaza. Mufti led the pro-Palestine protest in Srinagar while condemning Israel's aggression and escalating attacks on the Gaza Strip.
Condemning the Israeli aggression, Mufti said that the acts of oppression by Israel on the people of Gaza will have very serious consequences.
"We appeal to the world powers to put pressure on Israel and conduct a ceasefire. Palestine is facing oppression. There is food or medicines or necessities there. People are being shot at and bombs are being thrown at them. Israel is doing to Palestinians what happened to the Jews during Holocaust. The consequences will be very serious in the future. If nothing is done about this, then more people will pick up guns and spread terror in the world," said Mufti.
Mufti had recently strongly condemned the bombing of a hospital in Gaza which led to the death of about 500 people. The PDP chief has been giving a call to all the world powers to put pressure on Israel and conduct a ceasefire.
The former Jammu & Kashmir Chief Minister has also said that this is high time that the Palestine matter is resolved once and for all.
The war is the deadliest of five Gaza wars for both sides. On Friday, the Hamas-run Gaza Health Ministry said that 4,137 Palestinians have been killed and more than 13,000 others wounded. More than 1,400 people in Israel have been killed, mostly in the initial attack when Hamas terrorists stormed into Israel. In addition, 203 people were believed captured by Hamas during the incursion and taken into Gaza, the Israeli military has said.
