In a startling incident in Fatehpura area of Ganderbal district, two women and a wildlife department employee were injured in a sudden leopard attack on Wednesday(April 3) morning. The incident occurred amidst the routine activities of the locals.
Eyewitnesses reported that the leopard launched an unexpected assault, targeting the two women and a wildlife officer who happened to be nearby. The victims sustained injuries, sparking immediate concern among the residents.
Prompt action was taken as the incident was reported to wildlife department officials, who swiftly mobilized to the scene. However, their attempts to capture the aggressive leopard were met with resistance, leading to further harm.
Among those injured during the endeavor to contain the predator was Shabir Ahmed, an employee of the wildlife department.
In response to the escalating situation, both local law enforcement agencies and concerned citizens have united efforts to aid wildlife department personnel in capturing the elusive leopard.
As a precautionary measure, authorities have issued advisories urging residents to remain vigilant and take necessary precautions until the situation is brought under control.
