The mortal remains of Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Abhishek Ghosalkar were brought to his residence in Mumbai’s Borivali on February 9, where a large number of people gathered.
The accused has been identified as Mehul, according to the police.
The police recovered a pistol, a live cartridge, and CCTV footage after an investigation of 7 hours at the spot where the incident took place.
A Shiv Sena (UBT) leader was fatally shot while conducting a Facebook livestream in Mumbai's Dahisar area on February 8.
Abhishek Ghosalkar, son of prominent Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Vinod Ghosalkar and a former corporator, succumbed to his injuries sustained from multiple gunshot wounds.
Noronha abruptly exited the livestream before returning and opening fire on Ghosalkar, firing three shots before taking his own life, according to police reports.
