Massive fire engulfs power distribution company in Raipur, Chhattisgarh

A massive blaze erupted at a power distribution company in Raipur's Kota area in Chhattisgarh, sending plumes of black smoke billowing into the sky. Emergency services, including police and firefighters, responded to the scene to contain the inferno.

The fire reportedly originated from a transformer blast in the electricity department's sub-division office near Bharat Mata Chowk.

Eyewitnesses described the scene as chaotic, with flames engulfing the surrounding area and thick smoke obscuring visibility. Local residents alerted the authorities, prompting a rapid deployment of resources to tackle the escalating situation.

"3 fire tenders were rushed to the site. No one was injured in the incident. The cause of the fire is not known," stated Additional Superintendent of Police (Urban) Abhishek Jha, providing reassurance amid the unfolding crisis.

Efforts to quell the flames were intensified, with firefighters working tirelessly to combat the blaze and prevent further damage. As a precautionary measure, barrels containing flammable material were removed from the vicinity, minimizing the risk of exacerbating the situation.
