Northern Railways to launch train service via world's highest railway bridge in J&K

The Northern Railways has informed that the train service from Ramban to Reasi districts of Jammu and Kashmir, which will pass via the world's highest railway bride will commence soon. 
 

The train service will pass via the world’s highest railway bridge which has been built on the river Chenab. 
 

Furthermore, the railway authorities also informed that the Udhampur-Srinagar-Baramulla Rail Link (USBRL) project will be completed by the end of the year. 
 

It may be mentioned that PM Narendra Modi had inaugurated the USBRL project, including the 48.1 km long Banihal-Sangaldan section on February 20, this year.
 

Meanwhile, the phase I of the project, covering the 118 km long Qazigund-Baramulla section, was inaugurated in October 2009. 
 

Subsequent phases saw the inauguration of the 18 km long Banihal-Qazigund section in June 2013 and the 25 km long Udhampur-Katra section in July 2014.
