A Karnataka court, on June 10 sent suspended Janata Dal (Secular) leader Prajwal Revanna to judicial custody till June 24, in connection with rape and molestation cases.
As the Special Investigation Team (SIT) completed spot inquest on the morning of June 10, it did not seek further custody.
Prajwal Revanna had left for Germany in April after the sex tapes were brought to light, following which several lookout notices were also issued against him at all immigration points around the world.
Prajwal released a video message, saying he would appear on May 31 before the probe team and cooperate with the inquiry. He also claimed that the cases against him were false.
Revanna returned to Bengaluru on May 31 and was arrested by the SIT team after which he was sent to police custody till June 6.
A team of all-women cops, led by a woman IPS officer, arrested the former JD(S) MP from Hassan as soon as he landed on May 31. As many as five women police officers arrested the suspended JDS leader.
