In a landmark move to ease highway travel, the Government of India has announced a FASTag-based Annual Pass priced at Rs 3,000, set to roll out from 15th August 2025.
The pass is exclusively for non-commercial private vehicles—cars, jeeps, and vans—and aims to revolutionise toll collection on National Highways.
The Annual Pass will be valid for one year or up to 200 trips, whichever comes first. It promises a seamless, cost-effective, and dispute-free tolling experience, particularly addressing public concerns over toll plazas located within a 60 km stretch.
A dedicated activation and renewal portal will soon be launched via the Rajmarg Yatra App and on the official websites of NHAI and the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways (MoRTH).
Officials stated that the initiative will significantly reduce wait times, ease traffic congestion at toll plazas, and ensure uniform toll payment through a single, affordable transaction—benefiting millions of everyday commuters nationwide.
