Truck carrying fireworks to Ayodhya catches fire in Uttar Pradesh

A truck transporting a payload of fireworks from Tamil Nadu to Ayodhya erupted in flames, creating a spectacular yet dangerous display in the Khargi Kheda village of Purva Kotwali in Unnao, Uttar Pradesh.

Police reported that the inferno, which lasted for over three hours, consumed the entire vehicle in a blaze of fireworks. Videos captured by residents depict the night sky illuminated by the explosive cargo as it discharged in all directions.

The intended destination of the fireworks was Ayodhya where the city is preparing for the grand consecration ceremony at the Ram Temple scheduled for January 22. While speculations circulate that the fireworks were intended for the historic event, official confirmation on this matter is still pending.

No injuries have been reported in the incident. The cause of the fire remains unknown.
