A student was injured on July 19 after the wall of a classroom collapsed in Vadodara, Gujarat's Shree Narayan Gurukul School.
The principal of the school, Rupal Shah informed that the incident took place on the afternoon of July 19, around 12.30 pm during the lunch break.
Speaking to reporters, the principal said, "We heard a loud voice, after which we rushed to the spot. One student sustained injuries to his head. We immediately shifted the other students to a safe place."
Following the incident, a Class 7 student who sustained minor injuries was admitted to a private hospital and was reported to be stable later.
On receiving information, the Vadodara Fire Department team rushed to the school and began rescue operation.
The principal further added that the wall collapsed onto the parking space reserved for students' bicycles, resulting in damage to several bicycles.
CCTV footage of the classroom showed several students falling along with the wall as it collapsed.
Speaking to news agency ANI, fire department official, Vinod Mohite said, "We got a call from the school regarding the wall collapse. We reached the spot. A 7th class student suffered minor injuries...10-12 bicycles of students were buried under the debris and we removed it.
