So, the Modi government is in the final two years of its second term and the ruling BJP needs to focus hard on rapid economic growth in the next two years. Instead, what we see are issues such as Mandir vs Masjid that are grabbing the spotlight and dominating public discussions.

Indian courts are hearing cases filed by petitioners on claims that the Gyanvapi mosque in Kashi and the Shahi Idgah mosque in Mathura were built by Mughal rulers over temples that they had destroyed. And that these mosques should now be handed back to the Hindus as it happened in Ayodhya.
