New Delhi, May 6, 2020:

Two more Covid-19 positive cases have been detected at the Denzong Kunga Khangsang (DKK) Bhawan in New Delhi, taking the number of positive cases to six.

Two are patients who were undergoing treatment and are in an hospital, while four who were visitors are now in a Delhi Government facility quarantine.

Till now, the patients are asymptomatic and not in any "adverse" condition, Sikkim Health Secretary Dr Pempa Bhutia said.

Sikkim Health Secratary Dr Pempa Tshering Bhutia had on  4 people from the State have tested positive for the novel coronavirus in New Delhi’s DKK Bhawan.

On April 28, a 37-year-old kidney patient who was staying at the guest house had tested positive for the coronavirus. It was the first case detected at the DKK Bhavan that was constructed by the Delhi Government.

According to a letter written by the Assistant Director (Nursing) of DKK Bhawan to the Resident Commissioner of Sikkim, the lady had a COVID-19 test done on a routine basis for all dialysis patients who were undergoing treatment.

Around 9:40 pm, the patient’s relative got a call from the hospital saying that she had tested positive and needed to be tested to the hospital for treatment.

This development assumes extra significance as the state of Sikkim is the only one in left in India with any cases of the deadly virus.

Meanwhile, the coronavirus cases continue to skyrocket in the Northeast Indian states.

Tripura Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb has just confirmed that 13 more from the 138th Border Security Force (BSF) battalion, including a mess worker, have tested positive for the coronavirus. The number of cases has now risen to 42, with 40 of those being active ones. The state has not reported any casualties so far.
