GANGTOK: Sikkim Chief Minister Prem Singh Tamang met the President (Sikyong) of the Central Tibetan Administration, Penpa Tsering in his official residence at Mintokgang.
Taking to microblogging site Twitter the Chief Minister wrote, "Earlier today, I met the President (Sikyong) of the Central Tibetan Administration, Shri Penpa Tsering in my official residence. It was a courtesy visit wherein I extended my best wishes to the newly elected President for a fruitful tenure."

CM Tamang extended his best wishes to the newly elected President for a fruitful tenure and assured him of extending every possible support for the well-being of the Tibetan community in Sikkim and affirmed to construct a road inside the Ravangla camp and ensure that all basic facilities are available.
He also mentioned the last meeting with His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama, where the chief Minister had extended an invitation to His Holiness to visit Sikkim.
“Shri Penpa Tsering was kind enough to assure us to follow up with the invitation,” the chief minister added.
