Complete lockdown in Rongli and Pakyong subdivisions, Sikkim from tomorrow. These directions were given by the Chief Minister after State Task Force meeting held today.

Sikkim administration should strictly assess and monitor the quarantine facilities of Army and paramilitary forces including GREF.

Immediate up-gradation of quarantine facilities in Rongli and Pakyong Subdivisions, Sikkim and consider home quarantine option to manage the increase in the number of cases, with strict orders for compliance.

Strict vigilance of Pharmaceutical companies and ensure that all guidelines are strictly followed.

Limiting the number of returnees from other states, as well as complete restriction on inter-district movement of vehicles for atleast fifteen days.

Enforcement of complete lockdown in Rongli and Pakyong Subdivisions from 6am of 15th July (tomorrow) to contain further spread.

Immediate restriction on the movement of persons into the official residences of all the Ministers and MLAs.

Immediate restriction on the return of employees and workers of all private companies for the next fifteen days.

The augmenting the Police force by deploying forest guards and local village guards, who will be under the disposal of the concerned SP.

Another review meeting to be held in 3 days in SIkkim.

Meanwhile, COVID-19 reaches community level in Sikkim, among 15 positive cases from Rongli one each of health worker and police also reported positive

Fifteen people have been reported COVID-19 positive cases in Rongli out of which one each of health worker and one police personnel were also reported positive. This is the first time it was reported at the community level. Remaining are local people who were working in the GREF camp Rongli.
