SIKKIM: HEAVY RAINS TRIGGERS LANDSLIDE IN THE STATE

Incessant rains have also caused havoc in the other states of the Northeast. Heavy rainfall in Sikkim for the past few days has caused landslides in various parts of south and east districts of Sikkim. Several houses have been damaged and road communication has taken a hit in the state. In fact roads have been blocked due to heavy landslides. Areas like the Nayabazar legship is blocked to 23 km along with Radang Khimchithang road. However the Duga Chewribotey road will likely to be opened by today.
