Sikkim's active COVID cases tally crosses 2600 mark; 2 deaths reported today

GANGTOK: Sikkim's tally of active COVID-19 cases has reached 2637 with 227 fresh cases reported in today in the state.

Of the total new cases, East Sikkim alone reported 143 positive cases of the infection following West Sikkim (32), and South Sikkim (52).

Two more patients infected with the novel Coronavirus have died during the day. With the new fatalities, the state's death toll stands at 167.

A total of 116 people infected with the virus have so far been recovered during the day taking the tally of recoveries till date to 6869.

Currently, there are 242 COVID patients admitted in hospitals --133 in STNM hospital, 12 in Mangan hospital, and 97 in CRH Manipal.
