Senior members of the Sikkim Chapter of Bharatiya Janta Party (BJP) including JB Darnal today resigned from the party stating the reason they were kept in the shadows by the party during the recent alliance declaration between Opposition party SKM and BJP.
Spokesman and General Secretary of Bharatiya Janta Party Darnal and two other party executives today officially resigned from all forms of the party citing the reason that they were disappointed with the recent ongoing alliance declaration between Bharatiya Janta Party (BJP) and main opposition party Sikkim Krantikari Morcha (SKM) party and they were not informed about the development despite being with the party for many years.
The members said SKM's President PS Golay had already been convicted and had served a jail term under cow distribution scam and since the SKM Party does not have a clear image, they were not comfortable with the alliance.
The other two who resigned from BJP are Madan Kari East Zilla, VP and DR Khatwarsa, GS East Sikkim BJP.
