Tashiling Secretariat in Gangtok Inaugurated

Guwahati, December 4, 2018:

The newly constructed Tashiling Secretariat in Gangtok has finally been inaugurated on Wednesday by Sikkim Chief Minister Pawan Chamling.

The newly constructed secretariat has been inspected by DT Lepcha, Minister for Building & Housing Department and after clearance it was inaugurated as per the schedule.

It may be mentioned that the old building of the secretariat was severely damaged in an devastating earthquake that took place in September 2011. The new structure has been constructed at a cost Rs 264.30 crore.

It has to be mentioned that due to irreparable damages to the old Secretariat building by the devastating earthquake in September 2011, the old structure was brought down and this new structure has been constructed at the cost of Rs 264.30 crores.
