Sikkim : Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Li’l Champs Jetshen Dohna Lama gets grand welcome in Rangpo

Jetshen Dohna Lama of Sikkim who won the singing reality show Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Li’l Champs season 9 on January 22 was given grand welcome at Rangpo on January 25.

Hundreds of people gathered to get a glimpse of Jetshen who arrived at Rangpo along with her father Roshan and mother.
Jetshen Support Club organised an event at Rangpo which was attended by CM Prem Singh Tamang accompanied by a cabinet colleague. Jetshen also presented a singing performance at Rangpo. 

Jetshen who was born on April 27, 2013,at Pakyong in Sikkim started singing at the age of three years and at the age of 4 she first covered the song, ‘How far I will go’from an English animated film Moana. In 2016 she created the Youtube channel Jetsen Dohana Official.

Sikkim's Jetshen Dohna Lama won singing reality show Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Li’l Champs season 9. She took home the trophy as well as the prize money of Rs. 10 lakhs. Harsh Sikandar from Jalandhar emerged as the first runner-up while Dnyaneshwari Gadage from Thane was declared the second runner-up during the show finale on January 22.

The show was hosted by comedian-anchor Bharti Singh and had singers Shankar Mahadevan, Neeti Mohan and music composer Anu Malik as the judges.

Jetshen Dohna Lama is nine and had started singing from the age of three. Shankar Mahadevan used to call her the 'Mini Sunidhi Chauhan' on the show. On her win, Jetshen said in a statement, “This is a dream come true for me! Honestly, the competition was tough as all the contestants of the season are very talented and I really feel grateful that I got to share the stage with them. My journey on Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Li’l Champs season 9 has been a great learning experience for me and I am immensely grateful to all my mentors who have constantly supported me and helped me understand my potential as a singer. I am definitely taking a bundle of memories along with me and am looking forward to my new singing journey.”
