Sikkim: SDF demand SPSC to publish full SI recruitment results amid rising public concern

The Sikkim Democratic Front (SDF) has formally called on the Sikkim Public Service Commission (SPSC) to release the complete results of the recent Sub-Inspector (SI) recruitment examination, citing mounting public concern and growing allegations of irregularities in the selection process.

In a letter to the SPSC Chairman, SDF representative Komal Chamling said the partial results declared so far have triggered “much uproar” across the state, leaving many aspirants uncertain about the transparency of the outcome.

The party noted that several candidates who took the written exam and the Physical Endurance Test (PET) have voiced doubts over the fairness of the process, alleging that “position power of the ruling government” may have influenced the results. While not naming any specific authority, the SDF stressed that accountability and impartiality must remain the guiding principles of any public recruitment exercise.

Chamling said the party is urging the Commission to publish the full list of all candidates, including everyone who appeared for both the written examination and PET, so that the results are accessible for public scrutiny.

According to the SDF, making the entire selection record public will help restore trust, address the swelling discontent, and dispel rumours surrounding the recruitment. The letter stated that the appeal was being made “for the sake of all those who have appeared in the exam and for those who feel the results have been unfair.”
