Sikkim trip turns tragic: 10 tourists injured after vehicle plunges 100 feet

At least ten tourists were injured after the vehicle they were traveling in met with an accident and plunged 100 feet down down the road, in North Sikkim on March 15 night. 
 

The incident took place near Pakshep, Forest Dara, Mangan, around 9:30 pm when a Mahindra Maxx vehicle, carrying six males and four females veered off the road.
 

The tourists have been identified as students of IIT Dhanbad, Jharkhand.
 

They were traveling from Lachung to Gangtok when the vehicle lost control and plunged approximately 100 feet down the road. 
 

Three of the injured tourists, who were in critical condition, were immediately rushed to Gangtok Hospital for further treatment, while the others received medical attention at a local facility in Mangan.
 

Authorities have launched an investigation into the cause of the accident, while the condition of the injured tourists remains under close observation.
