Over a hundred Army and Sports cadets from Army Boys Sports Company are set to participate in the 3rd Khelo India Games that are scheduled to be held from January 10 to January 22 in Guwahati, Assam.
The 3rd Khelo India Youth Games, Guwahati will see sizable participation from the Army and its Boys Sports Companies (BSC), a joint venture between the Indian army and Sports Authority of India (SAI).

The event will see the likes of current Junior Asian Boxing champions sports cadets Biswamitra and Vishwanath, cadet world Wrestling Championships Silver Medalist sports cadet Prateek Patil, Junior Asian Athletics Championships Bronze Medalist in 10,000 m Havildar Kartik Kumar and local weightlifting sensation, Sidhanta Gogoi, who is the current Senior Bronze Medalist.
All the athletes come from the Army Sports Institute (ASI), Pune, which is run under the Mission Olympic program of the Indian army.

Over the years, ASI has produced some of the top sportspersons in the country. The Army men and the sports cadets will be representing their home states and the games will likely see a lot of these sportsmen and women creating new records.
