Adidas Pays Tribute to Hima Das after Twin Golds in Poland

Guwahati, July 9, 2019:

Hima Das has won countless hearts after she sprinted to glory in the 200m in two international-level events in Poland, and multinational brand ADIDAS, the brand she endorses, also lauded the 'Dhing Express' for her breathtaking performances.

A message posted on the Facebook page of ADIDAS read: "No goal is too far and no challenge too hard if we believe in the superhero within us and chase our dreams. 2 gold medals within a week."

Adidas and Hima joined hands in September after the star from Dhing first burst onto the scene. Thanks to the endorsement, Hima is equipped with the best products that Adidas has to offer for her racing and athletic needs.

The 'Dhing Express' made history by becoming the first Indian athlete to win a gold medal at a world event, when she bagged a gold medal at the women's 400 m at the IAAF World Under-20 Championships in Finland. She continued her winning streak when she bagged a gold and two silvers at the 18th Asian Games in Indonesia.

Hima suffered a setback in the early part of 2019, as she was hampered by an injury, but now, she seems well and truly back on track (both literally and proverbially).

Hima's rags-to-riches story has captured the hearts of many, as the girl from Dhing initially used to run barefoot, but now runs wearing hi-tech Adidas shoes with her name inscribed in them.

Adidas is the largest sportswear manufacturer in Europe, and the second largest in the world, after Nike.
