ASSAM BOY IN WORLD PRO JIU JITSU CHAMPIONSHIP

Niraj Kumar Borah,a MMA fighter from Assam,India is all set to participate in the world pro Jiu Jitsu championship that is going to be held in Abu Dhabi on April 2018. It is one of the most prestigious BJJ event in the world.

Achievements :

He has represented the country in both MMA and BJJ multiple times. He had fought in one of the biggest MMA promotion for Championship title in Singapore Fighting Championship, Singapore. He is a multiple times National Jiu Jitsu Champion in India. His achievements also include a Silver Medal in National Grappling Championship and Semi Finalist in 2016 World Pro Jiu Jitsu Championship, Abu Dhabi. On 23rd April 2018, he is going to compete in World Pro Jiu Jitsu Championship to be held in Abu Dhabi. His fight camp will be in Indonesia for the upcoming World Championship.

Born in Jorhat and brought up in Guwahati, Niraj was a martial artist from a very young age. In 2009, he joined Evolve MMA, Singapore to learn authentic MMA (Mixed Martial Arts) & BJJ (Brazilian Jiu Jitsu). Today he is a BJJ Blue Belt Holder under Professor Bruno from Gracie Barra. Apart from MMA he is also a certified sport climber from Singapore Mountaineering Federation, Singapore. As of now, his goal is to bring Gold Medal in the World Championship.
