Army unit under Red Horns Division organised the Chirang Football League, 2019-20. The competition commenced on June 20,2019 with a participation of 48 teams from Chirang district. The competition aimed to amalgamate youth of Chirang district into mainstream of the society.

The competition was conducted on the basis of league cum knock out. Out of them, six teams were shortlisted and divided into two pools.

At the end, Cyclone FC and Alongbar FC emerged as the top contenders, contesting for the coveted winner's trophy.
The final match was held on November 5, 2019 at the UAPB sports complex in Kajalgaon, as both the teams locked horns.

Cyclone FC was able to defeat Alongbar FC by 4-1 score in a one-way contest.

Mr Sudhakar Singh, APS, SP Chirang graced the event and felicitated the winners, runner ups and the other players of the tournament.
A Cash prize of Rs 50,000, trophy, individual medals and kits were awarded to the winning as well as top six teams of the competition.
