GU TO HOST INTER - UNIVERSITY EAST ZONE BASKETBALL (W) TOURNAMENT UNDER AIU.

Guwahati, November 8, 2018:

Gauhati University (GU) for the first time is hosting Inter University East Zone Basketball (Women) Tournament from 9 to 11 November at GU campus under Association of Indian Universities (AIU), New Delhi.

A total count of 36 Universities from Eastern Part of India and 450 cagers and 70 team managers, coaches will participate in the tournament.

According to the Director of Students’ Welfare, GU Dr Ranjan Kr Kakati, preparation is on full swing to leave no stone unturned for smooth conduct of the tournament.

Vice-Chancellor Dr Mridul Hazarika and GU authority, Faculty members, Officers, Staff and PGSU members are too providing full support to make the tournament a grand success.

The basketball tournament being at the 2^nd National level, within a month after the successful completion of East Zone Inter University Badminton Tournament (Men) 2018 held at GU in the last week of October, 2018.
