The 3rd edition of the Khelo India 2020 will kick start from January 10 to January 22, 2020, with a participation of 6800 athletes, 3000 supporting staff and 1500 volunteers.
Addressing the media, Khelo India CEO, Avinash Joshi said, “All the 37 states will participate in the game at 11 venues in Guwahati. More than 10,000 participants will take part in the event.”

Joshi also informed that 1500 medals are already arranged for distribution among the winners.
He added that the live coverage of the game will be telecast by star sports for 8 to 9 hours each day.
The Khelo India CEO also added that Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi, may inaugurate the opening ceremony in presence of Chief Minister of Assam, Sarbananda Sonowal and Union Sports Minister of State, Kiren Rijiju.
“The game will be much better and bigger than the earlier two events and we’re also expecting a great performance by the participants,” he added.
