In an exciting development for the sporting enthusiasts of Assam, the Government has announced that Guwahati is all set to host the Khelo India Youth Games in the year 2020.

The Assam Chief Minister, Sarbananda Sonowal, took stock of preparations for the upcoming event at the 2nd Executive Meeting of Assam Olympic Association (AOA) in Guwahati. Lakhya Konwar, the newly-elected General Secretary of the Assam Olympic Association (AOA), and Siddhartha Bhattacharya, the Education Minister of Assam, among others, were also present.
