Assam's 'Dhing Express' Hima Das, who is on 'cloud 9' after winning as many as three international-level gold medals, is back in the news yet again!
This time, the star sprinter has became a part of discussions for joining the efforts to provide relief to those affected by floods in her state, Assam.
The star has tweeted out seeking support from big corporations as well as individuals to come forward and provide support to the victims of floods.
A tweet sent out from her official Twitgter account read: "Flood situation in our state Assam is very critical, 30 out of 33 districts are currently affected. So i would like to request big corporates and individuals to kindly come forward and help our state in this difficult situation."
Moreover, it has come to light that the young star has also contributed half of her month's salary for the Assam flood relief operations.
Taking to Twitter, she wrote: "I have contributed my bit and requesting others also to please help people of Assam.
Moreover, Hima Das has also shared a Paypal link where one can make contributions for the Assam flood victims.
Truly a generous move from the young superstar Hima!
