Manchester, July 9, 2019:

The venue for the ICC World Cup semi-final clash between India and news Zealand is the historic old Trafford in Manchester, which has always been a 'bat first' venue.

The team batting first has won the last five matches played at the venue. Toss has become a critical factor in all the games as teams have generally batted first after the winning the toss,a strategy which has resulted in more wins.

According to the forecast, there are chances of rain through out the day, which may hamper the play. Initially, the India vs New Zealand league phase encounter in Nottingham was called off due to rain without a single ball being bowled so this time according to BBC weather, there is over 40 percent chances of rain at 8 am to 9 am local time, and this will reduce and stay consistent through much of the rest of the day.

Australia will play the hosts England on Thursday, 11 July. The ICC Cricket World Cup tournament's final will be held on Sunday.
