Indian men’s hockey team mauls Hongkong 26-0; Indian eves thrash Kazakhstan 21-0

Both men and women’s hockey teams did India proud by annihilating their opponents by huge margins on Wednesday, Day 4 of the 18th Asian Games being currently held at Indonesian capital Jakarta.
Defending champion Indian men’s hockey team mauled Hong Kong 26-0 in their second Pool A match. The victory broke an 86-year-old record of registering a win buy the biggest ever margin in the history of Indian hockey. The previous best was 24-1 against USA.
Four Indian players – Akashdeep, Rupinder, Harmanpreet and Lalit – scored hat-tricks in the match. And a total of 14 players managed to add to India’s score.
Meanwhile, the Indian women’s hockey team thrashed Kazakhstan 21-0 in their league match. With this win, the Indian eves are on top of their pool.
